On October 10th, Nick Carter brings his Who I Am tour to Edmonton, Canada. With over a 30-year career, the tour features a setlist of his solo music, songs from the 80s and 90s as well as songs from the Backstreet Boys. The Who I Am tour aims to tell his life story and follow the journey using music.
At exactly 8:00 pm, the lights went down, as the intro of the Who I Am tour started and the crowd roared with excitement. The music starts playing as Nick walks on stage and starts singing “Larger than Life”, a song from the Backstreet Boys.
The energy of the crowd was unmatched, as everyone knew the songs so well, and pure joy as they watched Nick perform on stage. After a few covers, he returned to his solo music and sang, “I Got You”, which was released in 2002.
Throughout the entire show, his stage presence was so clear as he sang and danced through his set. The newer songs he sang were “Superman” and “Made For Us” and you could hear the growth in his music and songwriting. The entire night, the crowd sang and danced along and it was clear that this was something special and a night no one wanted to end.
As the show was coming to an end, Nick came back on stage with an encore to finish the set with “I Want It That Way” and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”.
As I and many others have grown up listening to his music, to have watched him perform live was a pleasure and I cannot wait to see what he does next in his career…
Make sure to see him on tour because it is something you don’t want to miss!
