Meo Kalorama 2023 - 5 Must-See Acts At This Years' Festival

Updated: Sep 4, 2023

Set in the heart of Lisbon, Bella Vista Park - which translates to “beautiful view park," - Meo Kalorama is the perfect festival to conclude an excellent summer of European festivals.

I was lucky enough to get tickets to their first ever debut edition in 2022, and despite being a brand new festival, they invited some of the biggest names around to play, with Arctic Monkeys headlining on the Friday night and drawing thousands to their incredible set on the main stage. There were also some amazing performances by Portuguese bands like The Legendary Tigerman and Ornatos Violeta.

As well as its bountiful musical offerings, Kalorama prides itself on sustainability, innovation, and inclusion practices. No one knew what to expect from their first edition, but it definitely didn't feel like a first time festival and exceeded all expectations. Meo Kalorama returns to Lisbon on the 31st of August for a 3-day special edition, and here are five artists you must see at this years' festival.

Blur

Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bass guitarist Alex James, and drummer Dave Rowntree.
