Northlane all the way from Australia, finally returns for a US headline tour after plans of a 2022 summer US headline tour were canceled. They brought along fellow Australian bands Windwaker and Thornhill, as well as US metalcore band Invent Animate whose popularity hasn’t stopped going up since the release of their 2023 album “Heavener”.

Windwaker who opened the night put on a pretty much perfect sounding set even with their vocalist Liam feeling a little under the weather. Having had the chance to meet the members of the band, they aren’t only phenomenal performers but also phenomenal people.

Windwaker was followed up next by fellow Australian band Thornhill who never fails to put on a memorable and fantastic set. Seeing Thornhill live will always be a treat to anyone fortunate enough to be in the crowd at any show whether they’re headlining or even just opening.

The final opener of the night was Invent Animate who has been the direct support for this tour with Northlane. With this being my third time seeing them live, it feels like they get better and better every single time. Invent Animate is, personally, my favorite band to see live--after consistently putting on perfect show after perfect show. Seeing their growth not only in performance, but also size, won’t ever grow old, and they aren’t stopping any time soon.

Finally, there was Northlane, who put on one of the greatest sounding sets I’ve had the experience of hearing live. Everything about their set was, just to put it simply, fun. They played old and new music and the crowd was moving the entire time they were on the stage. Being the first time I’ve seen Northlane live, it left a very high impression, and I hope to see them again. I can’t recommend seeing them to anyone enough.
