Fans Had A Riot With Dropout Kings In Nashville

Dropout Kings stopped by The Cobra in Nashville, TN on September 21, 2023 as part of their Riot Music Tour. Along with VRSTY and Outline in Color, a local band called Jawfane joined in for this show.

A relatively new band, Jawfane is a 4-piece band that formed in early 2021. The group is brought together by their passion for music and their desire to push themselves musically. Jawfane had great energy and crowd interaction, getting everyone to clap and move.

Next up was VRSTY (pronounced Varsity) out of NYC. The band played a mixture of old and new songs, including "Fuck You Forever," a single off their highly anticipated album Levitate set to be release October 27th. Their sound is a mixture of many different genres and is an absolute blast to see live.

A band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Outline in Color was the direct support. With their guttural screams and heavy guitars, this post-hardcore band was so much fun to watch! Lead vocalist Michael was a formidable presence on stage, rocking his fanny pack and trademark shirtless ensemble. At one point, Javy, VRSTY's bassist, came on stage to rip a song with lead singer Michael.

The tour de force known as Dropout Kings took the stage to an enthusiastic and energetic crowd. It may have been 10pm on a Thursday evening, but that did not stop the fans coming out. From the moment they took the stage, Dropout Kings did not stop moving. Watching Adam Ramey and Black Cat Bill on stage is like watching a carefully orchestrated dance that immediately grabs your attention. Adam is known for jumping into the crowd throughout the set and interacting with fans, which he did multiple times. Not to be outdone, guitarist Rob moved all over the stage with sick shreds. Joe, known as the cowboy drummer, left the cowboy hat at home but still brought the beats.
